Once a patient has an ACL injury the best knee injury treatment is ACL surgery. ACL surgery will allow the anterior cruciate ligament injury to be reconstructed by what is known as Autografts. During the ACL surgery the doctor will replace the injured ACL with a piece of the patient’s patellar tendon or the hamstring. (more on ACL surgery)
