WR #5

I have a huge passion for sports. I am athlete to the core.   Football is my best sport.  During my years at Westfield High School (Spring, Tx), I was fortunate to work with some good coaches and receivers.  In my junior year, I caught 37 passes for 769 yards and 12 touchdowns.  During spring football in May, I tore my ACL.  It was a devastating injury because I knew it would affect my senior year and recruiting.  However, I worked with my mother to find a doctor that was very skilled in this type of injury and we were fortunate enough to get in to see Dr. Walter Lowe.  After I learned of his expertise in repairing ACL’s and knew more about his reputation, I knew this was the place I needed to be to be able to successfully recover from the injury.  Dr. Lowe was very patient and explained everything about the surgery, recovery and rehabilitation to me very well.  Besides that, he has a wonderful staff that were supportive, knowledgeable and accessible through every step of the process.  They cared about me not just as an athlete, but as a person.  I did as Dr. Lowe recommended and adhered to my therapy and rehabilitation schedule.  I worked hard returned to the gridiron just five months after surgery.  Normally, the rehabilitation process can be an average of nine months but I worked intensely to be back out on the field doing what I love.  I will play with the Northwestern Wildcats in the Big Ten next year and I am looking forward to getting down the field quickly and fiercely for Northwestern and making a huge impact,  just as I did with the surgery and rehabilitation.  Dr. Lowe and his staff are experts and tops in their field.  In this brief time, he has inspired me to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon, just as he.  It was a huge honor to be his patient.
