COVID-19 Update: As of 6/26/20 UT Ortho is following local and state guidelines in regards to the Executive Order issued by Governor Abbott effective today (6/26/20) at midnight in alignment with our partners. We are still open and are safely seeing patients at our outpatient facilities. Our patients’ and employees’ safety have been and will always be our number one priority. We are here for you to provide the highest quality of orthopedic care to everyone in our community” – Dr. Walt Lowe, Chair and Professor, Department of Orthopedic Surgery

Physical therapy and rehabilitation is critical component of the physician's plan of care following any injury or surgical procedure.  This allows the athlete or patient to get back to playing sports safely to prevent the potential risks of re-injury as well as allowing for normal Activities of Daily Living (ADL's).

Compliance and consistency with attending physical therapy sessions and performing your Home Exercise Program (HEP) are also factors affecting your total return to sport and function.
